INTRODUCTION

The gangsaw machine is closed sided frame saw which is designed to saw large blocks into their slabs. Ideally suited for the production of paving and worktops. The machine is closed sided to give greater strength and suitability due to the high number of blades incorporated in it. The block is lifted up through the blades giving the connecting rods their most efficient working position.

Flywheel centrally located to avoid cantilever effect. Flywheel is in two pieces to facilitate mounting and de-mounting of flywheel.


>> The diameter of the fly wheel is 3300 MM. is used to accumulate the energy in ideal stock and to avoid fluctuation of load. Flywheel is perfectly statically balanced. Balance weight is also provided to balance the eccentric weight of connecting rod as well as cam. This flywheel is mounted on main shaft supported by self-line heavy-duty roller bearings to ensure a silence and steady running.

>> The entire saw frame is mounted on articulated guides system. Main advantages of this system are :

(A) Better guides in frame motion.
(B) Less maintenance.
(C) Better tool life due to smooth frame motion and less vibration.

       Articulated Joints

>> The two connecting rods which are attached to the extremes of the blade holder help the articulated to ensure that its movement remains perfectly recilinear without any deviation. This is especially important when there are more blades on one side of the frame (The machine applies greater pressure where there are more blades), and when the block are of different height (beacause initially more pressure would be applied to the higher block.)
