INTRODUCTION

Derrick crane is used at quarry to lift extracted marble blocks for further transportation onto Dumpers/Trucks.

It is also used for lifting and moving around heavy machines in a mine from one place to another.

Depending upon the requirement, we manufacture Derrick cranes with different capacity of lifting weight.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

The Tie members, jib and main column are fabricated by M.S. Angles and plates.
Main column of the crane is tie up with two tie beams by special hinge agreements made top of the column.
Main column rests on the heavy duty thrust bearing and platform of the winch rotted on this bearing.
The hosting agreement consists of heavy duty (planetary/helical) gear box. This gearbox is driven by electric motors through variable speed gearbox. A standard company manufactures the gearbox and motors used in the crane.
Hydraulic Thruster Brakes are provided for both the hook and the jib movements.
Rotation of Derrick crane takes place with the help of a Reduction Gearbox and a chain of gears.
The pulleys are mount with special heavy duty bearing.
