INTRODUCTION
Derrick crane is used at quarry to lift extracted
marble blocks for further transportation onto Dumpers/Trucks.
It is also used for lifting and moving around heavy machines in a mine from one place to another.
Depending upon the requirement, we manufacture Derrick cranes with different capacity of lifting weight.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
- The Tie members, jib and main column are fabricated by M.S. Angles and plates.
- Main column of the crane is tie up with two tie beams by special hinge agreements made top of the column.
- Main column rests on the heavy duty thrust bearing and platform of the winch rotted on this bearing.
- The hosting agreement consists of heavy duty (planetary/helical) gear box. This gearbox is driven by electric motors through variable speed gearbox. A standard company manufactures the gearbox and motors used in the crane.
- Hydraulic Thruster Brakes are provided for both the hook and the jib movements.
- Rotation of Derrick crane takes place with the help of a Reduction Gearbox and a chain of gears.
- The pulleys are mount with special heavy duty bearing.
